Miss Earth 2010, Nicole Faria of India (Left) - Miss Earth is an annual international beauty pageant that promotes environmental awareness. This is only one of those beauty pageants that have a purpose. This pageant is not just about beauty and brain, this is all about the environment and Earth situation awareness. Miss Earth aside from Miss Universe and Miss World is also one of the most publicized beauty contests in the around the globe. Miss Earth is considered as one of the three largest beauty pageants in the world in terms of the number of national-level competitions to participate in the world finals.

Miss Earth 2011, is the 11th edition of the Miss Earth pageant. The theme of this year’s Miss Earth edition will be “The Earth is Crying. Let the Earth Smile Again!”. This is actually scheduled to be held on December 3, 2011 at the University of the Philippines Theater in Diliman, Quezon City, Philippines. The show will be aired live by Star World at 8:00 p.m. while ABS-CBN and telecast on Studio 23 will broadcast on Sunday, December 4 at 10:30 p.m. The pageant was originally scheduled to be held at the Impact, Muang Thong Thani, Bangkok, Thailand, however the pageant organizers decided to move the pageant back to the Philippines due to the massive flooding in Thailand. Nicole Faria of India, is the current Miss Earth 2010 titleholder who was crowned on December 4, 2010 that was held in Vietnam and televised worldwide. Miss Earth 2010, Nicole Faria of India will crown her successor at the end of the event.
